6th November 2023, London - BIG Shot, the Gen Z and Gen Alpha advisory board led by award-winning marketing agency, BIG little LDN, reopens applications for its next cohort of young people.
Led by Maya Behzadi and Lili Small, BIG Shot, the collective of young people born after 1997, works with brands looking to tap into the consideration mindsets of Gen Z and Gen Alpha. BIG Shot is for brands who see value in long-term brand building and are willing to have their products or services enter the consideration phase months, or even years before a purchase is made.
Formed in 2022, BIG Shot has conducted work for some of the UK’s biggest brands including Birds Eye and Spontex as well as up-and-coming challenger brands on their startup and scale-up journeys. Most recently, the collective has been commissioned to provide data and insights on Gen Z’s sustainable purchasing habits and attitudes to food and drink. The results will be published as downloadable resources on the BIG little LDN website.
Maya Behzadi, co-head of BIG Shot and Marketing Executive, comments
“When Lili and I started interning at BIG little LDN 18 months ago, the team recognised how much we knew about social media marketing and trends, especially on TikTok, with little to no formal training. It was apparent that our usage of social platforms was very different to older generations. That’s where the idea of BIG Shot began. We originally recruited an initial cohort of friends and family to start the advisory board, quickly building up the collective and started to launch research projects to discover real insights and opinions. It's exciting that just 12 months later we’re ready to launch the second phase of our recruitment campaign.”
Emma Critchley-Lloyd, Founder of BIG little LDN, comments,
“When you think of most advisory boards, you’re not picturing a group of young, diverse Gen Z-ers or Gen Alpha-ers. Advisory boards are there to do just that. Advise. Young people today are the most socially aware and digitally switched on of any generation before. They have a unique perspective on life and so, if we’re going to create campaigns on behalf of our clients, they need to be based on real insights. Not just desk research or a hunch.
Now we’ve been trialling BIG Shot for 12 months with friends and family, we’re ready to expand it nationwide so our collective is a true representation of what it means to be a young person living in Great Britain today."
