Monday 14th August 2023, London – Carey Trevill joins the growing BIG little LDN team as Strategic Adviser, working alongside Founder Emma Critchley-Lloyd as the agency prepares for exponential growth in 2024.
Trevill joins BIG little LDN as part of a recent hire drive which includes Marketing Manager, Alice Crofts, Marketing Executive, Maya Behzadi and a newly appointed Account Director due to start September 2023. With her wealth of experience in campaign compliance, marketing strategy, business growth and operations, Trevill will work with the team to ensure the agency maintains its high levels of success, as demand for its services increases.
Trevill hails from a successful agency background with award-winning campaigns under her belt across broadcast and non-broadcast media, for some of the world's biggest brands. Following the M&A of her own agency, Trevill went on to become the Managing Director of The Institute of Promotional Marketing, which included a position on the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) examining the broadcast and non-broadcast advertising regulations in the UK. She remains an independent advisor on the CAP Promotional Marketing Direct Response Panel (PMDRP) panel, reviewing promotional and direct marketing cases with the ASA.
In 2020, Trevill was appointed CEO of the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) and takes the BPMA seat on the seat on the Advertising Association Council.
On her appointment, Trevill comments, “With a raft of business and high-profile award wins under the agency’s belt, BIG little LDN is one to watch. I’ve worked with a few of the team over the years at previous agencies, so it’s been great to work with them again and meet the others too. The team energy is infectious.
BIG little LDN’s no-nonsense approach to PR and marketing is fresh, it’s exciting and it’s giving brands the answer they need right now in today’s tough economic climate. Emma has big plans for the agency and I’m excited to be contributing to that development and the next stage of the agency’s growth.”
Trevill is also part of AdNetZero, UKAEG and is partnered with Government teams, lobbying Government and Ministers on the wider industry position for creative industries and export, working closely with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Department for International Trade.
Emma Critchley-Lloyd, Founder of BIG little LDN comments, “I’ve worked indirectly with Carey for almost ten years now. We met when I was green behind the ears in terms of agency world experience and since then she’s always been my champion on the sidelines, starting by selecting me for the inaugural cohort of the IPM 30 under 30. There’s a lot to say for women who support other women.
I’ve always found Carey’s assured confidence inspiring – she’s a highly respected leader and marketer, so I know I speak for the rest of the team when I say how thrilled we are to be working alongside her, particularly as our client list expands into highly regulated sectors.”
